What to sow in July

What to sow in July to extend your flowering season

When I was a beginner gardener I used to buy all my plants throughout the season and due to the cost this meant I had a smaller stock of plants than I would.

When I became a slightly better gardener I began growing from seed so that I could have more.

When I became an even better gardener I began succession growing from seed so that I had a continous flowering garden right through to the first frost and even beyond.

Since is is July and I have lost all my dahlias to slugs I need more flowers to get me through the late summer and autumn period.

So I will be sowing lots more flowers from seed.

I have divided my seed selection up into those that will grow and flower in as little as 2 months, those that will in 2.5 months and those that are 3 months so that you can calculate if you have time to sow them in your area or zone before the last frosts.

You can watch my first video here where I run through everything I am sowing and then the follow up video where I sow a selection of them for demonstration purposes.

If you are reading this now I havn't made my other video yet (I only did the one above yesterday so check back soon for the next installment)
